Baltimore County police are investigating a bomb threat after maintenance workers at a Middle River apartment complex found a "suspicious package" Tuesday morning.

The bomb squad was on the scene of The Commons at White Marsh, located at 9900 Langs Road, after workers found the package around 9:20 a.m. and moved it to the apartment complex's maintenance office. Members of the bomb squad could be seen removing the package from the office and into a disposal unit.
No injuries were reported, although a section of roads around the office was blocked off by county police and fire units, said Baltimore County police spokeswoman Louise Rogers-Feher said.
Rogers-Feher said while she understands the workers believed they were keeping others around them safe, the police stress people should not attempt to move a potential explosive by themselves.
"If you see a suspicious package, leave it alone, walk away and call 911," Rogers-Feher said.
