Before the kids at Chase Elementary School sat down to turkey, they got a chance to hang out with a bird of a different feather Wednesday.

Ravens mascot Poe dropped by for an afternoon assembly, a tie-in to the NFL's Play60 campaign.

Students danced, watched videos from stars like Ravens running back Ray Rice and showed off some of the things they've learned about personal fitness.

Wendy Adey, a Chase Elementary teacher, said that the school has regular "brain breaks" featuring Play60-themed videos created by Chase students. She said the school has enlisted other athletes, including Baltimore Blast midfielder Pat Healey and New Orleans Saints offensive lineman Jermon Bushrod (a Towson graduate), to donate prizes for students. Healey, a Bel Air native, even dropped by earlier this fall to speak with fourth- and fifth-graders, and signed a soccer ball, Adey said.
