Best of: Breakfast Spots in Essex-Middle River
Which local restaurant serves up the best breakfast? You decide.
Our inaugural Best of Patch contest kicks off with a hunt for the best place to kick off your day. Who has the best breakfast in Essex-Middle River?
Experts claim breakfast is the most important meal of the day. So who do you trust with that great responsibility?
Here are some of my favorite places, but if I'm leaving anyone off of the list, please let me know in the comments and I'll add it:
- Lighthouse Pizza & Subs
- Uncle Eddie's
- Coffman's Snack Bar
- Shea's
- JAD's Caddyshack
- Essex Diner
- Long Beach Restraurant & Tavern
- Silver Moon Diner
Voting in the poll below is open until 9 a.m. Friday.
- Because this poll is not scientific, it is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by the Patch editor, based on poll results, positive comments below and in reviews on each of the businesses' Patch Places directory listings (you can reach them by clicking on the businesses above).
- Please vote only once per survey, per Patch.
If your business is listed here, learn how to claim your listing for free on Essex-Middle River Patch by reading this article.
We will announce the winner at noon Friday.
So tell us which is your favorite place for breakfast. And don't forget to tell us why in the comments below.
Next week: Best Gyms.

Double T is a great choice, but that's actually in White Marsh.

Shea's has taken an early lead. Will they will or will another local restaurant take control? Your votes will make the difference in deciding the Best Breakfast spot in the Essex-Middle River area.

OK, if not the Double -T, then the Carroll Island Diner. If you leave there in the morning hungry, then there's something wrong with you!

Carroll Island Diner closed about 3 months ago! Georges in Chase gets my vote!

That's a shame, they had good food. I'll have to gives George's a try. At least it's close.

Light House Pizza & Subs and Shea's are each making a case. Help put one of these businesses or one of the other's in the survey over the edge as we seek the Best breakfast spot in Essex-Middle River.

I like Uncle Eddie's the best because you have home stye breakfast in a home like atmosphere. I enjoy their French Toast the most. Made fresh and to order.
