Baltimore Man Arrested for Robbing Essex Bank

Donte M. Jackson, 25, allegedly robbed the M&T Bank, located at 1200 Eastern Blvd, police said.

A 25-year-old Baltimore man was arrested and charged with robbing an Essex bank on  Monday afternoon.

Donte M. Jackson, of the 500 block of N. Streeper St., was captured not long after he allegedly robbed the , located inside Shoppers Food Warehouse at 1200 Eastern Blvd.

According to police reports, Jackson allegedly entered the bank around 1 p.m. and passed a note to the teller, which read “I have a C4 and a gun on you. If you want to go home alive tonight, I want all your money.”

The teller, police said, gave the suspect approximately $3,100 before he left the bank. Shortly thereafter, officers discovered a man matching Jackson’s description at a nearby McDonald’s, the report continued.

Jackson allegedly then ran before officers caught up with him and needed to use a Taser to subdue him, according to the report.

Jackson, who was briefly transported to Medstar Franklin Square Medical Center, is currently being held in the Baltimore County Detention Center, according to court records.
