Ravens Signing at White Marsh Store, For a Price
Torrey Smith and Anquan Boldin are scheduled to appear at Great Moments Tuesday night.
Hoping to congratulate Baltimore Ravens players Torrey Smith and Anquan Boldin on their Thanksgiving win?
Follow Perry Hall Patch on Facebook and Twitter.
You'll have your chance at the Great Moments store at The Avenue at White Marsh from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Tuesday.
But getting their signatures will cost you between $25 and $79—money well spent for most fans, according to manager B.J. Tebin.
"It's going to be a big one," Tebin said. "We're expecting close to 500 people."
Smith's autograph on anything costs $25, while Boldin's signature on a photo or a mini helmet costs $59 and his signature on a helmet or a jersey will cost $79.
Tebin said the visit benefits the entire Avenue, not just his store.
"It brings people to the restaurants ... and especially Starbucks," he said.
Is the cost of an autograph worth it? Tell us in the comments.

I have many player autographed items, but I find it difficult to pay for an autograph. I think players who are still playing should sign for free, but that's just me. I have heard that some players donate their signing profits to charity, while the promoter gets their cut. It's simply become a big business and people profit from it by selling autographs in stores and online. It's a matter of supply and demand, I guess. Then again, everyone seems to have a fee schedule these days. Just once, I'd like to get a $100 for my signature.

It would be great if the players profits were donated to charity - a win win for all. Maybe some of the players do donate?

Like they don't make enough money already??? As I was reading the article I was looking to see which charity it was for. Pretty pathetic if you ask me.

It's sad that you have to pay these athletes to sign autographs! What ungrateful players they are.

Ridiculous. They should happily sign for free after you buy their swag. Buying a signature is more ridiculous than paying for over priced game tickets.
